Ensure Faster File Delivery With Our CDN

To empower our users with CDN delivery, Filestack partners with Fastly CDN, one of the fastest and most secure content delivery networks. Fastly uses Anycast to ensure that content is always served from the nearest POP to your visitor. This partnership ensures that every Filestack user is able to deliver content at a blazing speed. Every file that is uploaded through Filestack’s File Picker or RESTful API or ingested via Filestack’s transformation engine generates a CDN URL that ensures fast file delivery.

What is a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?

A CDN is a network of points of presence (POPs) scattered across the globe in strategic locations. When using a CDN, your users will load content from the POP nearest them, so instead of your content travelling from your home base across the world every time, it only has to make that journey once, and your user is able to instantly access the content everytime.

CDNs are the most time efficient method to deliver content to your users. All files upload are automatically hosted on Fastly for 30 days. All future request will auto-populate.

Why Use A Content Delivery Network (CDN)?

For every additional millisecond your page takes to load, more of your users abandon your site and their shopping carts. Images, although proven to increase users’ affinity towards your product, can slow down your site when not properly optimized.

To make sure that your images only have a positive effect on your users, you can both transform images on-the-fly (as opposed to storing multiple variations of one source image) and use a CDN network to deliver your files. Filestack enables you to do both with ease.
